Meet your bookkeeper
I’m Christine Ganey, the owner of CG Bookkeeping in Hood River, Oregon. As a small business owner myself, I understand how much goes into keeping things moving—and how helpful it is to have someone you can trust to take care of the books.
I’m a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, with Core and Advanced certification for QuickBooks Online, and I’ve earned the Intuit Bookkeeping Certification. My approach combines careful attention to detail with clear, down-to-earth communication, so you understand your numbers and feel comfortable asking questions.
Outside of bookkeeping, I’m continuing my education with interests in psychology, business, and writing. When I’m away from my desk, I’m usually enjoying the Gorge—hiking, skiing, or getting outside with my two Border Collies, Blue and Hoodie.
I want my clients to have more time for those parts of life, too. That’s why I offer personal, thoughtful support for both the business you’re building and the person behind it.

Federal reporting update · 2026 payments
For payments made in 2026, the general federal Form 1099-NEC reporting threshold is $2,000 or more per payee, up from $600 for payments made before 2026. This applies to qualifying business payments for nonemployee services.
Keep recording every contractor payment and collecting W-9 information. Payment method, recipient type, and other exceptions still matter; backup withholding can require reporting regardless of the amount. The form-reporting threshold does not determine whether income is taxable.
A useful next step: review your contractor list and year-to-date totals before year-end, then confirm filing requirements with your tax professional.
